Through a variety of fun and creative activities teens learn important information about building healthy friendships & relationships, dealing w/ peer pressure, handling bullies & teasing, expressing feelings, anger management, self-esteem/self-image and more.


TEEN PROGRAM AGES 13 AND UP

New enhanced program starting October 2026: Sunshine Prevention Center’s Peer Connection and Skill Building Program provides children and teens with a supportive place to build friendships, strengthen social and emotional skills, and grow in confidence. Each month focuses on important topics such as friendship and relationships, anger management and dealing with tough feelings, communication skills, and appreciation of diversity, with weekly activities that include topic introductions, guest facilitators, family connection nights, and team building.

Age-appropriate groups are offered for children ages 5 through teens, with parent/caregiver groups offered at the same time to encourage learning and growth throughout the family. The program uses evidence-informed and evidence-based prevention strategies while incorporating fun, recreation, creative expression, and opportunities to connect with others. Cost is $125 per month per child.
